Do NOT Wrestle Next Sunday!

Huh?  You're thinking, why is Jeff telling us we can't wrestle next Sunday?  Well, next Sunday, May 13th, is Mother's Day (you didn't forget, did you?).  There are many weekends in the off-season where there may be tournaments scheduled for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, but Mother's Day is pretty much the one day where there are never wrestling tournaments are never scheduled.  When I wrestled in high school, the IL-USAW website had a schedule for the off-season, and on that date it always said: "NO TOURNAMENT - MOTHER'S DAY."  Yes, in bold letters.  Forbidden.  Off limits.  Don't even think about it.  Unless you don't want dinner that night.

But, seriously, you should take that day to give credit where credit is due.  Think of all the times she's cooked to your request because you were trying to lose weight, all the tournaments and duals she sat through, all the wrestling shoes and other gear she bought for you, and so forth.  And that's just the wrestling related stuff she's done for you.  I think you owe her a big thanks.

Go ahead and get your wrestling fix next Saturday, but for goodness sakes, take Sunday off.
